Subject librarians are the go-to persons for enquiries relating to their subject and to build up and maintain stocks within different fields of research.
They screen the media market for valuable scientific publications. After acquisition subject librarians analyse the content of media and attach researchable key words which enable users to retrieve them in catalogues. Further, they offer help and guidance with information research and electronic publishing (including Open Access publications).
As part of their profile subject librarians also organise and hold lectures, workshops and other informativ meetings.
