On Monday, 12.08.24, construction work began to upgrade the fire dampers in the Main Library Building with Branch Library of Arts and Humanities (Bibliotheksplatz 2). These measures are absolutely necessary for safety reasons and are expected to be completed by the end of the year.

In the course of the measures, restrictions due to noise and the temporary closure of various areas of the library, including toilets and passageways, must be expected. Access to the individual collections will not be affected and will be maintained throughout the construction period.
